Stylist-Approved 2026 Fall Trends
A great fall wardrobe starts with pieces you’re excited to wear—and know how to make your own. This season, our stylists are drawn to expressive outerwear, rich textures, defined silhouettes, and accessories that bring personality to everyday outfits.
From suede and dark denim to a well-placed brooch, these are the fall 2026 trends on our radar, plus a few ways to work them into your wardrobe.
Standout Outerwear
A great jacket can set the direction for an entire outfit. Look for a distinctive shape, an unexpected color, or a beautiful texture that gives even your simplest knit-and-denim combination a point of view.
Funnel-Neck & Barn Jackets
Two different approaches to fall layering, both easy to wear. A funnel neck brings a sculptural feel to outerwear, while a barn jacket adds a relaxed, utilitarian touch. Try a funnel-neck jacket with tailored trousers, or pair a barn jacket with dark denim and loafers.
Contrast Collars
Sometimes, the smallest detail makes the piece. A contrasting collar adds definition and gives a familiar jacket a fresh feel. Let it stand out over a simple tee or knit, or pull its color into your shoes or bag to tie the outfit together.
Hourglass Tailoring
Waist definition brings shape to fall’s layers. A fitted blazer, a belted jacket, or a coat that curves through the waist can create a strong silhouette. Pair with straight-leg trousers or denim for an everyday take.
Suede Everything
Suede brings warmth and softness to jackets, skirts, boots, and bags. Start with a suede accessory for an easy addition, or make a suede jacket the centerpiece of your fall wardrobe. We especially love the texture against crisp shirting and dark denim.
Dark-Wash Denim
Deep indigo denim feels polished while keeping the ease of your favorite jeans. Wear it with a blazer and boots for dinner, or a soft sweater and low-profile sneakers for everyday. The right fit makes all the difference.
Brooches
A brooch is a personal way to finish an outfit—and a reason to revisit pieces you may already own. Pin one to a blazer lapel or coat, or use it to secure a scarf. Vintage and sentimental pieces feel especially fitting here.
Slouchy Carryalls & Sharp, Structured Bags
There’s room for both. A soft carryall complements relaxed layers and busy days, while a structured bag adds definition to an outfit. Consider how you’ll use it, what you carry, and the shapes you wear most.
Animal Print
Animal print can be the focal point or a small finishing touch. A shoe, belt, or bag is an easy place to start. Pair it with denim, solid knits, or tailoring and let the print bring the personality.
Sheer Layers
Sheer fabrics offer a lighter counterpoint to fall’s heavier textures. Try a sheer blouse over a tonal camisole, or let a sheer sleeve peek out beneath tailoring. You can adjust the layering to suit your comfort level and the occasion.
Heritage Prints
Plaid, houndstooth, and checks bring depth to a fall wardrobe. A patterned blazer or coat works beautifully with simple separates, while a printed trouser can become the starting point for an outfit.
Low-Profile Sneakers
A slim sneaker works easily with denim, trousers, and skirts. We like the balance it brings to fuller silhouettes, especially wide-leg pants and relaxed tailoring.
